Four Favorite Spring Trends

If you’ve been wondering how to liven up your wardrobe this spring, I’ve got you covered. You can go all-out or just mix in a few key pieces, either way, here are four trends you won’t want to miss out on.

1. Pastels

Pastels are all the rage this spring, and you can wear them in many different ways. I try to keep the other items I pair them with simple–think neutrals, a chambray, other pastels or even black. Denim is one of my favorite ways to wear this trend; it can be dressed up or down for a fresh and easy look.

2.   Electric Color

You are likely to see shades of bright blue, hot pink, poppy red, and emerald green lining the store shelves this spring. At first they may seem a little intimidating, but that shouldn’t stop you from giving them a try. Depending on how you pair them, they can bring some real energy to your closet–I bet they’d even brighten your day. Try pairing any of these shades with white for an instantly chic look.

3.   Spring Leather

Leather generally makes you think cooler weather–I mean it does have a tendency to be hot, but that didn’t keep it away from the spring 2013 runways. Many designers are experimenting with faux styles that look real but are a little more animal-friendly. Go head-to-toe with this trend for a night on the town, or try pairing it with some basics for a sophisticated office look.

4. Lace

I am a bit biased about lace because it is one of my favorite wardrobe staples, but I have seriously been seeing it everywhere. It adds a feminine touch to just about any look, plus it is delicate, comfortable and easy to wear. Try this trend by pairing a lace dress with some  sandals for a go-to casual weekend look.
