In today’s video blog I am going to share some tips on how to utilize your wardrobe to make yourself look slimmer. Even though many of us struggle with yo-yo dieting, there are a few simple tricks you can use to look instantly slimmer on the days when the diet just isn’t working for you.
1. We are all familiar with the black trick. It’s a known fact that black makes you look slimmer…Wearing head-to-toe black will make it appear that you instantly shed 10 pounds, and who doesn’t want to look 10 pounds slimmer? You may not realize though, that you can gain the same satisfaction from wearing other shades head to toe… think grey or white. And seeing as how monochromatic looks are on trend right now, you will be killing two birds with one stone.
2. When choosing denim or trousers, you want the hem of your pants to almost hit the floor. It instantly elongates your legs, which gives an overall thinner appearance. This trick works especially well with heels because the added height lengthens the legs even more.
3. Utilize a tailor. I have talked about it several times before, but I really can’t stress enough how important it is. By adjusting a seam or adding a dart, a seamstress can help your clothes hug your body in the right places, which will make a huge difference in your appearance.
